I have always loved Gretsch...been playing punk on them since the mid 90s

Does the body finish feel rough? I'm on the fence with this one. It looks really rough as far as the finish goes when looking at pics and watching videos of it. I wish they would always have at least a solid normal finish for models like this that have all the specs you want.

That gold finish is horrible. Harley Bentons are ok if you don't mind doing a complete fret job out of the box. I own 2 of them. They both needed extensive fret work but I knew that before I purchased them. With a fret job and pickup upgrade, Harley Bentons are as good as anything else out there.

Before doing this make sure your guitar has a low friction volume pot. Made the mistake of not checking a few years back and fried a pot.

I bought a PIA really just for something to look at and admire, but, man, these pickups are insane! Tbh its kind of a surprise since my setup isn't something you would think they would shine at. I run a Rockerverb mkIII and use a Earthquaker Devices Acapulco Gold fuzz for a doomy shoegazer type vibe. I dont know what it is, and I dont much care, but they sound better than any other pickup that ive thrown at it, and I've thrown a lot.

Thanks a million for teaching the way he actually played this solo. Never been able to find an accurate transcription of this. I saw him play it years ago on a VHS tape I had and I always wanted to get it down right. I also love Jake’s playing so please keep doing these.

And while i will ever never sell my RG2620, i bought a new one; RG5120M-FCN(alright, cam down Ibanez..😛). It sound different, has active pickups, but let me tell you, i truly love my RG2620💙
